In your November 20th session I notices when you were charting AA on the daily direction scanner with Auto Climate. You use the 144min and Weekly timeframe. Shouldn’t you have use the 55min and daily since it was a daily up arrow directional scanner?
If you can do it the way you did it then couldn’t you cycle all the symbols that come up in the daily directional scanner through all timeframe. ex. 8min, 21min, 55min and 144min to see if there a match?
Which also means the FB symbol ex. you used with the 144min could have also been checked with the other timeframe too??
Hi Fermon, good catch, that was human error using the slightly wrong time-frame there! You are correct that with Daily for AutoClimate we would use 55 minute usually for UFOs.
However, that’s not to say other time-frame combinations can’t work, I have strategies where my time-frame combinations are not the set ones, and others where they are, it depends on my back-testing. So I would suggest back-testing for yourself if you want to play around with different time-frame combinations
The scanner itself I only use to save time to then analyse the product properly anyway, so although the scanner was using daily, the Climate & UFO analysis would have used the set combination of time-frames, (so in this case weekly and 144min). it just was coincidence that the weekly climate suggested longs, as well as the daily for the scanner to pick it up
